About the Area - Ringwood

ringwood

Ringwood is a thriving market town with excellent amenities for almost every aspect of life. Set on the A31, it’s just 10 miles from the M3 – with direct access to Southampton (22 miles), Portsmouth (38 miles) and London – yet it’s also the western gateway to Britain’s newest national park, the New Forest.

The town has an excellent range of shops and stores providing everyday necessities, specialist products and virtually everything in between – while the delightful Market Square hosts a weekly street market which adds to the variety and interest even more. Sporting facilities include a David Lloyd Health & Leisure Centre with heated pool and excellent racquet facilities. Alternatively, the public Ringwood Health & Leisure Centre offers a 25m lane pool, Bodyline Fitness suite and a range of exercise programmes and courses. The centre also boasts an excellent crèche facility with an outstanding OFSTED Inspection report. There are several golf clubs in the area and water sports nearby plus a good choice of restaurants and pubs and a wealth of clubs and societies catering for fishing, flower arranging and much more besides.
