Wimborne Minster, often shortened to just Wimborne, is a market town located in Dorset in the South West of England. The town is believed to have gotten its name from the earliest name of the river Allen, which flows to the south of the town.

The burial sites of some famous people are located in the church, including the brother of Alfred the Great, King Ethelred, as well as the maternal grandparents of King Henry VIII.
